Insurance & Fees

“We don’t charge you more just because you’re sick!”

Some walk-in offices charge a higher rate for immediate care. At Physicians Treatment Center you won’t pay a “convenience”, “after hours”, “weekend” or “Urgent Care” rate when you come in to be treated. Our fee schedule for a basic office visit is the same regardless of the time or day you’re treated.

Fees for medical services vary based on the type of problem or problems a patient may have. A basic office visit charge (e.g., cold, bladder infection, allergies, sprained ankle) starts at $130. If additional testing or procedures are necessary (X-ray, Strep test, sutures, etc…) additional charges may apply.

Some visits may be more or less depending on the nature of the services provided.

If we participate with your insurance carrier, we will be reimbursed based on their fee scheduled.

PTC Payment Policy

We request payment at time of service for any co-pays or fees that will not be covered by your insurance.

Card-on-File

We encourage patients to keep a credit card on file to make the checkout process easier, faster, and more efficient. You will no longer receive statements from us, but you will continue to receive your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance carrier once your claim has been processed, detailing the charges and payments made on your behalf.

At check-in we will:

  • scan the credit card of your choice, including your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) card

After your insurance has paid their portion, we will:

  • notify you via email of the balance owed
  • charge the balance owed to your card on file
  • email a receipt for the charge

Your credit card information will always be fully protected by our off-site, card-processing partner Elavon, and not on our computers, as required by industry standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard – PCI-DSS).
